The
FORGOTTEN GEMS'
Story

2013
Starting Out
Forgotten Gems started in 2013 as a way for me to furnish my home on a budget. I’ve always loved the look of real wooden furniture, so I bought my first gem: an ornate wooden headboard I found on eBay for £25.
Once I'd painted my first piece, I was hooked. I loved the fact each piece had its imperfections that told its unique story. People started asking where my pieces were from and many were shocked when I told them that they'd been done by little old me.

It wasn't long before I was getting requests from friends and family, either to source them a piece or paint them a Forgotten Gem of their own.
From there the business began to grow.
Today, I’m a multi-award-winning artist, sourcing pieces from across Europe and giving them a new lease of life, ready for the next chapter in their story.
