This large oak sideboard has been brought over from Northern France. It is very heavy and well made with excellent craftsmanship! It features stunning hand carved detailing throughout and stands on cabriole legs.
This piece has been sanded right back removing the old varnish and revealing the oak grain for a raw wood finish. It has then been lightly washed with a grey / taupe Paint to tone the colour of the oak down. Fully varnished for protection.
The interior has been fully cleaned, lightly sanded and oiled to rehydrate the wood.
There are four smooth sliding, good sized drawers, one of which is a cutlery drawer. The three drawers have been lined with a pretty, washable liner which can be removed if you’d prefer. Below are four large cupboards, which house two selves and a larger centre cupboard for storing your items.
There is are two small pieces of wood missing on the boards of the cupboards which are barely noticeable- see pictures. This does not affect the use of the piece at all.
The three original keys with new tassels provided.
Overall in excellent condition for its age!
